Dr. A. Baki kocaballi
chief researcher

Dr Baki Kocaballi is the leader of the Activating the Everyday research program. He is a Senior Lecturer in Interaction Design at the School of Computer Science, UTS. His research is situated within AI, interaction design and health and wellbeing with a focus on conversational and multimodal technologies.

Prof. Elise van den Hoven

Elise van den Hoven is Professor of Interaction Design at the School of Computer Science, UTS. She studies how to Materialise the digital in everyday environments through tangible and physical interaction. She runs the materialising memories research program that aims to study how well-designed systems and services can support remembering practices.

Dr. Naseem Ahmadpour 

Dr. Naseem Ahmadpour is a researcher in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. She is a member of the Design Lab, USyd, and leads the Affective Interactions lab. Her research is interdisciplinary and broadly focused on the design of interactive technologies and personal devices that cultivate meaning making, affective experiences and reflection. 

Dr. Mukesh Prasad

Dr Mukesh Prasad is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Engineering and IT at UTS who has made substantial contributions to the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence and the internet of things. Mukesh’s research interests also include big data, computer vision, brain computer interface, and evolutionary computation.

Associate Prof. Bhuva Narayan

Bhuva Narayan is Associate Professor, Digital Social Media in the School of Communication, and Director of Graduate Research at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Bhuva is a transdisciplinary academic across Information Science, Digital Media Studies, and Social Sciences, with additional expertise in IT, HCI, and UX, and applies this expertise in the context of social justice issues.
